Trained in Web Development and Excel VBA

I have primarily worked as a financial accountant in various organizations, starting with an SME and later in multinational companies. I also have experience as a payroll accountant within French accounting practices

While studying for the ACCA qualification, I sought to align my practical experience with furthering my accounting knowledge

Over time, financial accounting has become increasingly dependent on accounting and ERP systems, particularly in financial reporting. The processes for accountants have evolved, becoming more automated but also more complex, especially in large organizations with wide-ranging activities. Although these systems have increased efficiency, they have also introduced greater complexity, requiring professionals to understand both the economic events and how these are reflected in the company's systems. I have always been keen to understand the intricacies of these tools and improve processes wherever possible

The growing use of databases and the expanding role of software in finance, accounting, and payroll have sparked my interest in coding and web development. I have also seen how web applications are being used by authorities to handle payroll reporting and payments online, further motivating me to develop these skills

In addition to my web development training, I have been expanding my knowledge of VBA coding, a critical tool for Excel, which remains a pervasive tool in the accounting field. I am currently enhancing my skills in VBA, as it enables automation and optimization within Excel, aligning perfectly with the systems and tasks commonly used in the profession

My latest completed frontend project (project 7 on github):
3 web pages of a fictional online marketplace for short-term homestays
The Front-end of this project is based on REACT.js
The React environment is set up through Create React App
The routing is enable through React Router Dom
The content is based on functional React components
